Oh, Obi-Wan....
Oct. 18th, 2005 11:00 pmSo I'm reading Rogue Planet because
citizenjess peer-pressured me (and before anyone asks: yes, if she jumped off a bridge I probably would too, but not before convincing
drunken_hawkeye to jump with me) even though I think I've read it before unless I'm thinking of an OT book involving living ships... but maybe that was Callista or whatever the hell her name was because I really could give less than a shit about Luke's love life....
ANYWAY... There was this one bit that made me laugh my ass off today.
The reason it makes me laugh is this: it conjures up an image of Obi-Wan putting his robe over his head and standing next to the wall as Mace walks by, thinking to himself 'If I can't see him, he can't see me.' Mace, of course, humors him and says things like "Gee, I wonder where Obi-Wan went!" Much like one plays hide-and-seek with a two year old.
I wanted very much to be awake enough to be up to chat tonight, but I was incredibly sick all day (and still had to drag my ass to school and work - pity me, kthnx) and if I have any hope of getting to my midterms tomorrow (which were postphoned from Monday, which I wish I had known before I got my ass out of bed....) I need to go to bed. *sigh*

Jedi Masters could hide from detection, even at close range. Sometimes Obi-Wan could manage to conceal his presence from someone as perceptive as Mace Windu, but never with complete confidence.
