I'm seriously stuck on both my challenge response AND Damaging. This is not good at all. Not good, not good, not good.

I must finish one or both of them, and at this rate... ugh. This is not good.

I'm seriously thinking of scrapping the Stinger challenge response and going with something else. Missing angsty scene from Whale Song, maybe. It would be much, much easier. Not that I want to take the easy way out, but the Stinger thing just isn't working even though the idea is fairly sound.

Damaging... well, I just wish I hadn't noticed that Bridger thing.

Wendy closed her eyes for a moment. “I know what’s wrong with him, and the situation is under control,” she stated, voice tight.

Jim motioned to the restrained teenager. “No kidding,” he snapped. “So tell me, Doc, what’s wrong with him? Since you know and everything.”

“As far as you or anyone else is concerned, Lucas suffered a major nervous breakdown, and I’m not sure why that would come as such a surprise considering the stress he’s been under.”

Jim scoffed. “Nervous breakdown” was putting it very mildly. “I think ‘train wreck’ would be more appropriate,” he replied.

“Maybe,” Wendy acquiesced.

“What does the captain think?” Jim asked. He had been surprised to learn that Bridger had only been down here once, and Jim wasn’t comfortable with going up to him and asking how he felt about Lucas’… situation. He’d considered asking Ford to find out what he could about Bridger’s absence, but then realized that course of action would mean stepping on more toes than he already had. Not good for the new guy.

I really don't like the flow of that last paragraph, and I don't know what Bridger thinks. I hate being stuck like this.
