I'm making funeral arrangements for my car. It's on its final weeks as a functioning part of my life. It's been going downhill for a while - the engine is crapping out. It's an aluminum block engine, which really doesn't do well with extreme heat, and since the radiator has not been working, the engine block has warped, which means any water or coolant I put in there runs directly into the cylinders - which is NOT a good thing. It's either not going to start one morning, or it's going to die on the highway. My guess is die on the highway, since... well... I don't do things quietly.
So. Yeah. My parents are looking at cars for me. They're either getting another Taurus so we can mix and match parts - since the rest of the car is in pretty good condition (except that massive scar from when I ran into the stone wall this past winter), or a Chevy Malibu like Sunshine's mom drives (and which I drove whilst housesitting and loved). Older model, used, obviously. My grandfather suggested a Camry, but I don't really like the boxy massive feel of those (Elisa has one. It's nice, but not my kind of car). My dream is to wake up to find a Mustang in the driveway, but I know that will never happen within my lifetime. Oooo - I should talk up the kind of car
desertcoffin had. Now THAT was a sweet ride. :D No, no, I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm lucky my parents are doing this for me, and whatever they get is fine. I really am not picky - but a girl can dream!
My brother got The Sims2, and I went over yesterday and played it. I made some of the QaF people, and built a big house - one floor representing each of their homes. I, personally, think I did an EXCELLENT job recreating the loft. I had to add an extra bathroom, though, because nobody wanted to go upstairs for some reason. Brian and Ted got in bed together, inexplicably. Pity fuck, perhaps? Justin's the only one who's really happy, and nobody wants to look for a job. **sigh** Oh - and one of Brian's goals for the first day was to make friends with Justin, which amused me to absolutely no end.
