It went fine. I doubt things will ever be the same between us, but at least I know there is no noticable bad blood on her part.

I spent two hours longer at Elisa's than I'd intended, but we got talking and I lost track of time. And I have to wake up at an ungodly hour tomorrow morning. Oh well. Worth it, I guess.

New SW bunny, in addition to the three others I'm working on. I probably won't write this one for a while, since there are still some major kinks to work out (so to speak). The Padme piece is going well, but man I haven't written a het sex scene in... well... ever, so it's taking a bit longer than I thought it would. The Gravity sequel is off to a slightly bumpy start, but overall the first few scenes are coming together. I'm re-reading the books that I'm AUing, so that should help some.

But now: food and bed.

fandom weirdness

So I was browsing through the RotS section of TFN and came across a thread that asked whether Anakin should have been granted the rank of Master. That's not the weird part. The weird part is that, while everyone agrees on the answer (no, by the way), they are all arguing about why.

The mind boggles, really.

It kinds of veers off into whether or not it (turning to the dark side) was Anakin's fault (me: um, duh, guys), and if not, who else could be blamed... if Mace Windu truly is wise... and my personal favorite: the declaration that Anakin should not be allowed to impart wisdom on anyone at any time.

My feeling is that it's a bunch of guys having this discussion. Don't ask me why, but dudes tend to be a lot less sympathetic towards Anakin - or at least tend to see him as less complex than being simply "a greedy, lustful brat". (True as that may be).
