I agree entirely with gokuma. This should have so many comments, it's incredible. I too love those scenes in the film, and have always considered that Stryker's visits mightn't be the only way that Erik was being abused, he looks so ill and tired, but resigned to it. In spite of everything Magneto's done, Charles will always see him as Erik, and be there for him, and you've shown that beautifully. Wonderful fic.
