Hey, you know that fanfic.net story I linked to a few days ago? Well, the author is back and revised the whole front page to respond to the critiques she got.
This one is my favorite:
Umm.... I was fairly certain that was one of the standard definitions for a Mary-Sue. Since ff.net doesn't let you review the same chapter twice, I'm going to have to say anything - not that I think it would make a difference.
This one is my favorite:
First off, Kia Morgan is NOT a Mary Sue. She is anything but. What I meant by the obsession for mortals is that there are several enemies that try to kidnap Kia in order to obtain her power of agelessness so they can have everlasting life. I'm not saying she is the center of attention. She is an Original Character, and she is very powerful in an immortal way, but she is not as powerful as she seems. There are also plenty of chapters where Brody, Ford, and even Lucas get to do their own things without Kia, so she isn't all-encompassing as far as each chapter goes.

I AM Section Seven
Sep. 4th, 2003 08:07 pmYes, you read right. I AM Section Seven. Cower before me. I am "they". I am every top-secret covert government agency. I am the Shadow Government, the Puppet Master.
Okay, okay, I'm not, really. I just wanted to say that.
Should I bring Section Seven into Damaging, or would that complicate things too much?
