Fandom musings
Apr. 5th, 2004 09:56 pmSo I'm part of the
wonderfalls and
savewonderfalls communities, because Wonderfalls has been a new pretty in my life, since I've seen every episode of sQ so many times I could recite them in my sleep and since the QaF fandom has been the home of some major drama lately. It's a little like Joan of Arcadia, only... um... better. Because inanimate objects talk to the main character instead of God, and because it takes place at Niagara Falls. Not that I have anything against God talking to people, I just find it more amusing when the thing talking is a smooshed-face wax lion or a monkey figurine.
After four episodes, FOX cancelled it. Which isn't surprising, because it was an intelligent show in an awful timeslot (the dreaded 9pm Friday night, where no show has done well since The X-Files). However, the entire season was produced. So, the producers and the other people involved in making the show said that maybe there could be a way to get the rest of the episodes on DVD - if not get picked up by another station, for at least the end of the run.
( continued talk of fandom, including sQ and QaF )
Surrender to destiny, support Wonderfalls.
