snapshots of my life
Jul. 29th, 2005 08:00 pmMom: I'm doing a load of laundry. Do you want me to wash your work clothes?
Me: Yeah. Could you use the liquid fabric softener on them?
Mom: Sure. How about the stuff you're wearing right now?
Me: You can't have them.
Mom: Why?
Me: Because I'm wearing them!
Mom: You have no other clothes you can change into?
Me: ...
---
Tayrn: Cotton t-shirts? Why would anyone dry-clean cotton t-shirts?
Me: Because they like harassing us when the plant loses their stuff?
---
Mom: Anakin has some serious mother issues, doesn't he?
---

Ian (as Anakin): I'm thirsty.

drunken_hawkeye, do you have any screencaps of Obi-Wan and Vader dueling from ANH? I have this kickass icon idea, and I need one of those shots for it.

Date: 2005-07-30 01:12 am (UTC)Your mother isn't the only one like that about laundry, and I honestly don't understand it. It's just... weird.
People dry-clean cotton shirts because they're one of two things: 1. lazy, or 2. anal retentive.
Anakin? Mother issues? Nah.
I imagine he is rather thirsty. I'm pretty sure I would be.
Yes. Yes I do have those shots. I zipped the whole scene for you, and stuck it on yousendit. Here (http://s63.yousendit.com/d.php?id=319D10SVW62O42HL17IYBZ76S0) ya go.
:D
Talk to you later.

Date: 2005-07-30 01:37 am (UTC)It's like... yeah, I have other clothes, but... I'm leaving in five minutes and I WANT TO WEAR MY VADER TEE!
That's what we figured. But it would be ten times cheaper to do it themselves or go to a laundrymat. Whatever.
*snerk* Understatement of the year, courtesy of my mother.
Ian and I have this whole scene worked out - burnt!Anakin is thirsty and begs to stop at a drive-through on the way to suiting up. It's one of those "you have to be there" sort of things, but it never ceases to make us giggle hysterically when we do it.
THANK YOU!!! You rock sooooo much. :D
You betcha. I don't have school OR work tomorrow, so obviously I'll be around.
