War
(100 words - inspired by "Glory" from Pippin)
For Obi-Wan, war was red as sunset.
Battle droids did not bleed, but clones did.
Jedi did.
At the end of the day, the fields of battle were awash with blood, the setting sun painting even the uninjured in the red viscous.
For Anakin, war was red as the breath of the dragon. It curled around his heart and guided his blade, breaking out and clouding his vision with red mist.
For Padme, war was red as heartbreak.
She clutched the japor snippet to her chest and sat by her com, waiting for the inevitable.
War was red, and cold.
