Rippy started my robe today. :D I bought some cheap cotton for her to make a practice robe with, and she's gotten everything but the main part of the sleeves and the hood done. OMG it's going to kick ass. Monday I'm going on a quest to find a silk-linen blend in the right color.

I don't like being caught in the middle of things. It's where I tend to end up, so I'm used to it, and I won't fuck up the goodness I've got, so that's all I'm going to say about it here.

I'm going to be 22 in six days. This year has gone by so fast - so much has happened. But that's how years go, I guess. But honestly, the biggest life changes - the biggest decisions I've made, have been made this year. I guess as testament to how out of it I've been all semester, I totally forgot it was my birthday until Susan asked if I wanted next Wednesday off of work and I saw the "Happy BDay" in place of my hours for that day on the schedule. Go figure.

*shrug* Life.

If I were there, I'd pop a bottle of wine, pour it in a glass, hand the glass to you, and toast to your birthday. Of course, you would only have that one glass, and I would have the entire rest of the bottle. Hell, screw the bottle, I'll just plug a straw into a boxed wine and laugh aloud as you gain another year--my year.

In other words, in Vagina Beach, we'll toast and celebrate at a bar. It'll be fun! We can dish and be great big bitches!

So how much would she generally charge for that sort of thing? Also... if you happen to see the silk-linen in black, well, I can't really afford it for a while, but if you could get me a quote on how much it's going to run me, I'd forever grateful. :D

She's doing mine for the cost of the fabric, but I haven't bought the "real" stuff yet, so I'm not sure how much it will be. If I see some in black I'll get it (or plan to get it) and have her make you one too. :)

Wow, that's nice of her. I did some seamstress work in Vegas, and let me tell you, it's expensive stuff. (I made about 300$ for like 2 days work)

Awwww... you're too sweet. You totally don't have to do that. I dunno, though, I'm half expecting it to be very expensive.

I do worry about it, but it's cause I love you. :)

Yeah, she's really sweet. :D And it is awfully expensive - I wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise. She makes about $250 a day or so, so she really doesn't need to do this for me.
